A Little More About Shelly

          Shelly Cohen has embraced her many passions which include performing on French Horn, Trumpet and Banjo and becoming a London RT double-deck bus driver! With a vigor for the arts, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies and Communication with double minors in Music and Dramatic Art from the University of California, Davis. During her summer internships, Shelly was further inspired by her love and admiration for Disney Entertainment that she then decided to pursue a career in theatrical production. She was fortunate enough to embark on a path that would give her the ability to visit all of the Disney Parks around the world.

          After working as a Company Manager for the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., Shelly had the opportunity to live out one of her dreams of going on tour, beginning her career as the Assistant Company Manager for Sesame Street Live! Within one season, Shelly was promoted to Company Manager where she has proudly led numerous touring productions across the US, Canada and China! Shelly takes pride in her critical skills of active listening, negotiation, teamwork, critical thinking, social perceptiveness, organization, dependability, recognition of employee achievement and encouraging an inclusive and respectful workplace. She has remained true to her values managing content contributors for TheatreArtLife (a global online platform for the entertainment industry) as well as being an Ambassador for the Actors Fund LinkedIn Challenge and participating in industry webinars and podcasts to educate professionals on topics related her background experiences.           Honoring her values of blending/embracing the culture of her teams and the local area with her management style, Shelly has maintained her commitment to giving back to local communities and embracing her passion of protecting animals. Shelly makes the most of her time by planning countless events, volunteer opportunities and donation drives whilst traveling the world.           Through her experiences, Shelly has a passion to creatively support creative individuals and utilize her unique talents across entertainment medias: Film, Television, Live Events & Theatrical. With her extensive theatrical background, well-rounded skill sets and Producing studies at UCLA, Shelly is passionate for leading teams as the supportive cog to communicate effectively, envision the bigger picture and work behind the scenes to proactively plan for all situations while enabling & motivating talent to shine.
